How to reach Hotel Yak & Yeti from airport
Hotel Yak & Yeti is around 5 Km from Tribhuvan International Airport. The best way to reach the hotel is to arrange for an airport pickup or, in alternative, to take a taxi from the airport to the hotel (the air taxi fare will be around NPR 400 = about 4 Euro).
Location of hotel
Yak & Yeti is located in the centre of Kathmandu city. Italian consulate is 3 minutes walk from hotel yak & yeti and almost all the other embassies are located within the range of 1-5 Km. The most famous place for restaurants and shopping – Durbar Marga (Kings Way) is very close to Hotel Yak & Yeti. Also, the most attractive place for tourists – Thamel is 10 minutes walking from the hotel.
Procedure to obtain visa for Nepal
Tourists from any country of Europe can obtain a tourist visa on arrival at the airport. The visa fee for 1 or 2 weeks is USD $25 or the equivalent in Euro (has to be paid cash; there is no ATM machine to either withdraw money or pay electronically at the immigration office)
While returning back every passenger has to pay NPR 1695 (about 17 euro) as Airport tax.
Local Currency is Rupees and the approx exchange rate is 1 Euro = 100 NPR (Nepalese Rupees)
