Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) was established about five and a half decades back in Kathmandu, Nepal. With a membership base of more than 1600 general members and about eighty affiliated members has been playing important role in the field of trade promotion. Basically, the Chamber is providing the Business Development Services (BDS) and Policy advocacy and Lobbying for the benefit of the business community.
The prime objective of Nepal Chamber of Commerce is to assist the development of national economy by way of promotion and protection of the commercial and industrial development, both at the private and public sectors level. The main objectives of Nepal Chamber of Commerce are: To foster good relationship and unity among the trading community and industrialists; To develop links with all the commercial, industrial and other similar associations of the world and to co-operate with each other for the betterment of the national economy in particular, To organize Trade and Industrial Fairs and to co-operate with Nepalese participants in such Fairs, To issue Certificate of Origin for the Nepalese exportable products, To establish or to encourage establishment of academic institutions relating to industry and commerce and to finance technical management and to organize workshop, training, seminar and relevant research programmes.
The Chamber of Commerce disseminates information through its various publications and the website www.nepalchamber.org, publishes fortnightly bulletins “Chamber Patrika” (in Nepali), Trade Directory and Brochures. Besides, Nepal Chamber has been involved in various research works on international trade and export trade of Nepal. NCC has a proven track record of publishing the reports on international trade and marketing.
